We have studied and mastered a number of chiropractic techniques to provide optimum care for people of all ages to meet your specific health needs. Please read the following in order to learn about our most commonly used techniques.
This technique is one of the most popular “low force” approaches to chiropractic in the world, because we use an adjustment instrument called The Activator Methods® Adjusting Instrument, which is a handheld spring-loaded tool that delivers a consistent... low-force, high-speed thrust. This is extremely beneficial for elbows, wrists, knees, and other joints of the body.
One of the techniques that we use at our practice is the most commonly used adjustment technique by chiropractors, as it is characterized by a high velocity – low amplitude thrust. Diversified is considered the most generic chiropractic manipulative... technique and is differentiated from other techniques in that its objective is to restore proper movement and alignment of spine and joint dysfunction. This form of spinal manipulation consists of a short, fast force applied to the specific joints to instill motion, stretch surrounding muscles, and stimulate the nervous system. Diversified adjustments use a specific line of manual thrust that goes deep into the joint. This corrects mechanical distortions of the spine or joint within the joint cavity and also stretches the soft tissue, which may have formed around the misaligned joint. By adjusting the spine or joint, and thrusting it into its proper position, the fluids and tissue move more freely and are distributed properly within the joint, which can ease pain and discomfort. There are extensive research studies that prove the efficacy and safety of the chiropractic adjustment.
We recognize that treatment of the whole body requires synchrony between the nervous system and the mechanical control system of the kinetic chain. Subluxations of any joint have both neurological and mechanical components. Many patients... suffer repetitive subluxations and nerve entrapments because the mechanical component is ignored, leaving root causes undiscovered and untreated. The goal of extremity adjusting is to easily diagnose and treat these injuries, incorporating both neurological and mechanical treatments.Mechanoreceptors are embedded in the tissues surrounding joints. When these tissues get stretched by a misalignment of the joint, this activates an inhibition or weakening of the adjacent muscle. Discovery of these weak muscles and correction of the misaligned joint to restore normal strength is a specialty of this technique.

Complete the New Patient Forms prior to visiting the practice. This will save approximately 15-20 minutes, and allow you to complete the documents in the comfort of your own home. You can download the new patient forms here.
During the initial health consultation, you can share what you desire from your life and what you believe is preventing you from making this a reality. This consultation assesses your current well-being and then communicates your definition of a life without limitations.
At the conclusion of the initial health consultation, we will perform a complete and comprehensive chiropractic wellness examination that will test your reflexes and range of motion, as well as many standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations.
A series X-rays may be needed to allow us to clearly determine a proper care plan. X-rays provide us with an objective diagnostic tool that will show us the position of the spinal bones, as well as the quality of the spine and safety of adjusting it. We also use X-rays to determine how long a subluxation has been developing.
You will be scheduled for your Report of Findings within a few days of your initial visit, at which point we will share the results that we found with you. You may invite anyone in your family to accompany you, if you choose. Your Report of Findings includes a detailed analysis of what you need in order to solve the problem that brought you into our office and what can be done in order to assure that it won’t happen again. We consider your current lifestyle choices, goals for the future and challenges that are standing in your way. This is why our recommendations are extremely comprehensive and have the chance to be the solution that you have been seeking to find.
Our entire staff strives to keep waiting times to a minimum, so we ask that all patients be prompt for their appointments so we can stay on track. Your adjustments will be given by the doctor, then anything else done during that visit will depend on the doctor’s recommendations. Stretching, exercise instruction, or other advice, may be given as part of the doctor’s plan for you. Questions are not only welcomed, they are encouraged. Knowledge is power.
We consistently update and customize your wellness programs. The foundation for our overall health is based on proper spinal alignment, nutritious foods, regular exercise, high quality supplementation and a variety of stress relief techniques.
